Join Us in the Fight Against Food Insecurity in Our Community
Did you know that 1 in 8 households in the United States are currently facing food insecurity? That means that many families in our community do not have sufficient access to quality food and other basic needs. At Weed Man, we’re proud to be locally owned and operated right here in Grand Rapids, and we strive to make a difference for people in need – right in our own backyard! That’s why we want to invite our customers to participate in our 2024 fall food drive: Grassroots Giving! Starting on August 26, 2024, we’re partnering with Northwest Food Pantry to collect donations of shelf-stable, non-perishable food and household items. Northwest Food Pantry is specifically asking for the following items: Peanut butter and jelly Cereal Pop Tarts Instant oatmeal Canned soups Canned chicken Rice Noodles Rice-A-Roni Hamburger Helper Sauces Adult/Kid toothbrushes Laundry & dish soap Shampoo & conditioner Toilet Paper Donating is easy! The day before your next lawn care application during our Grassroots Giving campaign, you will receive a text or email reminder about your next service. During our visit, simply leave any food items for donation outside your front door (preferably in a box or bag). Your Weed Man technician will collect all items while they are there to complete your service. All donations will benefit our friends at Northwest Food Pantry! We hope you’ll join us in the fight against food insecurity in our community.
